Worm Wheel Hobs Technical Update
As a designer and manufacturer of gear cutting tools, we have noticed over the past 12 months, that there has been a large increase in the need for wormwheel hobs, and worm milling cutters. Many new customers are approaching us as, their current supplier either, cannot design and produce what they want, or, as they can be very complicated, simply do not want to attempt to supply.
Here at Acedes, We are delighted to inform you that we do not only supply very high quality standard tools, but one of our great strengths is having the ability to produce equally high quality cutting tools, designed especially for wormwheels, and they can be in the form of either a bore or shank type hob, for BS721 gear sets or your own customer specific requirement.
Acedes has invested a lot of time, money and knowledge, into developing a bespoke design software to simulate the theoretical tool design to the finished product.
The feedback from our existing wormwheel hob customers is very positive, and in almost every new request , many asking for dual lead, spiroid or cavex profiles, we have been able to offer the quality tools that they were unable to obtain elsewhere.
Our unique design software was developed specifically to translate any profile, including the wormwheel, into the equivalent hob, to enable you to produce your required tooth profile, whilst maintaining the quality you demand.
