Acedes Designed shaving tools are designed in the "BALANCED" condition to ensure the best gear profiles from new to end of life.
We balance the tool with the hob or shaping tool using our own unique system which has proven over 95% of right first time tools.
We shave down to 6 teeth in some cases with many components down to 11 or 12.
The capacity range for shaving tools:
Up to 6 Mod (4.2 DP).
Up to 305mm (12") Ø.
UP to 70mm (2.8") face width including plunge.
Tools for Internal / External gears.
Plunge / Conventional / Diagonal.
Materials used ASP23 or Acedes Acealloy V6
Acedes not only supply new shaving tools but have the most comprehensive re-sharpening facility, which includes 4 sharpening machines.
These use two types of grinding technology:
Through grinding particularly useful on wide tools (the form on the end of the tool is the same as in the middle.
Hurth generating system.
If you have special profile requirements i.e. trim, tip relief, profile crown. Knowing exactly your gear requirements and an understanding of HT movement we can develop your shaving tool to produce the shapes you need. Special shape templates for wheel dressing are wire EDM produced very accurately.
This can then be maintained throughout the life of the tool, by modifying the shape as the tool is sharpened smaller & smaller
The re-grinding of shaving tools is not limited to our own supplied new tools but also to any other manufactures supplied tools.
